Good Morning from a hot Southern Illinois! Hope your rides include shade and your travels include back roads and horses...
This post is just to let you know that, although I'm not directly involved with horses and trailers any longer, I'm still the engineer and tinker who put all these ideas together and I get calls for assistance often.
The phone is the quickest way to reach me... I don't always see emails as quickly as I would like.
Travel safe and let's keet the Brenderups on the road!

The wheel on my trailer jack has literally fallen apart. The opening in the hub on wheels I can buy locally (tractor supply) is too small. Do you know where I can find a brenderup wheel?

ReplyDeleteThis is a new one that would replace the old one...copy and paste in browser. I bought one for my brenderup. Have not installed it yet...I was told it needed to be drilled - I want a pro to do that for me.

Thank you for your suggestion, Marti! I may have to go that route, but I would rather keep the jack that is on it because the tire is the only problem.

ReplyDeleteI haven't run into this issue. Let's start googling for matches to the Brenderup Wheels. Jeff (webmaster.)
ReplyDeleteAcrually, that wheel might be fairly common because it's from the jack, which I think is US made. Have you talked to a local trailer dealer? Replacement jacks are easy to find.
DeleteHmm...I just assumed that the jack was foreign made too! i will take the tire with me to a trailer dealer this weekend and let you know what i find out. Thanks!

DeleteWe are needing to replace or fix the ramp on our blenderup. It seems to have rotted straight through and my horse almost put his foot through the ramp. We'd like to replace the ramp but aren't sure on how to get one. Any suggestions?

ReplyDeletei drilled holes and injected git-rot into the area of my ramp which was rotting. covered it all up with a 12" high piece of vinyl sticker and it looks great and has held up for 2 years hard as rock. then sealed with silicone caulk. now i need to tackle the front portion of my solo where my door has leaked some over the years...
DeleteHello. I'd like to replace the peeling Brenderup decals on my Barron TC horse trailer. Does anyone know where I can find these Decals?
ReplyDeleteI live in central NM and the sun is brutal on fiberglass. what are my options for covering my trailer to keep it pristine as long as possible? I currently have it covered with a HUGE tarp. are there any other options out there. I do not have access to a covered storage building... :( will something like this work? https://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=d5cefcd4-4f5d-4a3e-abd0-fdd229b98d26&sfb=1&itemguid=2f50b4f0-70d4-4f2b-be17-6340de2e8255&utm_content=32019&ccd=IFF003&mr:trackingCode=643AE364-3C81-E211-BA78-001B21631C34&mr:referralID=NA&mr:device=c&mr:adType=plaonline&mr:ad=43741056283&mr:keyword=&mr:match=&mr:tid=pla-84505446643&mr:ploc=9030451&mr:iloc=&mr:store=&mr:filter=84505446643&gclid=CjwKEAjw_LG8BRDb1JTxm8uP_UwSJADu_8pWoHRakP_yjaa3AcFbEGDrtOis9bisj08p5y89W-aKJxoC8aHw_wcB
